Hello
I was reading error codes on my vt v6 last night by bridging pins 5 and 6 together in the OBD2 port and now my car won’t start unless I have the ports 5 and 6 bridged with paper clip,
It won’t even crank unless I have them connected?
I was hoping someone may have any ideas as to what I’ve done?
Otherwise off to the auto electrician.
Thankyou

Try disconnecting the battery for a few mins. If it still doesn't crank try holding key in crank position for a few seconds.

Hey mate thanks for your reply.
I have tried what you said.
The car will only crank over and run with the terminals bridges with paper clip.
I can take it out while running and is fine but as soon as I try to start car again it won’t, unless i rebridge the terminals 5 and 6 in OBD2 port.

Disconnect the battery for 15mins before you take it to the auto elec and see if it clears itself.

Almost sounds like a security issue or pcm is stuck in limp mode? Key fob battery okay? Any codes?

Any error codes set?
Hey mate there want any era codes, I normally bridge pins 5 and 6 to check codes, now when I do it the engine light doesn’t flash.
And the car will not start unless they are bridged?

Hey mate thanks for your reply. there wasn’t any codes when I was last able to check. The engine light will not flash now with the terminals 5 and 6 bridged.
The car also will not start unless I have them bridged.
