Ironically the base model ss and calais 6.0 brakes are exactly the same as the v6 brakes.
However, these brakes are useless at speeds above 60kph. I 100% encourage you at least upgrade to ssz/thunder 320mm front brakes. The difference is night and day.
Brake engineering isnt based on vehicle power, it's based on vehicle weight. A noticeabale shortfall in australian ADR's

Now there is a handy fact I never knew.
I went and looked it up and there it is.
There was a difference in vented rear discs on some SS, it said.

This was only for 06/07 update.

The 04-05 had a difference between V6 and V8.

Thanks @Billy for teaching me something new. :)

Yeah most things are the same except the k frame, the power steering is the same just the lines are different, air condenser is the same and heaps of other things it’s mainly wiring and lines that are different v6 to v8.

Correct, and for the effort to adapt the looms, you are by far best to swap all the looms.
Good chance to maybe overhaul the HVAC with a new evap and heater core.
