Fit the biggest resonator in the mid pipe, and the biggest rear box that you can fit

If ground clearance is a issue look at the oval design for the resonators

You need large bodied parts with lots of volume

Are you still running cats?, if not fit the biggest bodied 200 cell (at a minimum) cats that fit

You can still make good power and have a nice sounding, drone free exhaust if you choose the right parts

I run 1 7/8 headers, 200 cell cats to 3" Y pipe to a 4" single with the biggest resonator that fitted in the mid pipe, to a Varex 4" rear box, no drone at any speed, sounds good with the Varex open, and as quiet as stock with it closed

The Varex is great for leaving or returning home late at night, keeps the neighbours happy

A really loud, droney, smelly exhaust is the last thing you want on a street car for multiple reasons
Yeah just dropped it off, I took the ute down to the exhaust specialist last week & said I have real bad drone & I want it quietened down, so he said he’ll get a larger muffler, 7” round, glass packed, Lukey, see what that sounds like, if still no good I’ll look into what you’ve mentioned.

This ute has a serious amount of bark, the young lads love it, but for me when I’m driving it is too loud in my ears & the drone does my head in, haha.

The burns on my knuckles disagree. Nah the heat gun was good. The vinyl really wanted a whole lot of heat to let go and I had to be mindful not to warp the bonnet.

I had a few ppl recommend wax and grease remover. I think I need to emphasise the fact that this car has not been parked in a shed anywhere near enough over the last decade or so since the bonnet got wrapped.

I tried 86% ethanol heads, wax and grease remover, terps, metho, thinners, maf cleaner, degreaser, cooking oil, engine oil, cutting oil and vinegar.. hell I actually even tried etch primer.
None of them helped and all had a similar result which was basically just that scraping became marginally easier briefly.

I eventually went and got adhesive remover which got most of the work done after about 5 applications.
I use WD40 for adhesive removal. I haven’t tried it on a wrap but for all applications I have tried it on, it’s been pretty effective.

Well I didn’t do anything to the car but I paid someone to, haha.

New muffler went on the VZ SS, Lukey MagnaFlow 7” Round on the twin 2.5 SS system, doesn’t drone as bad, still there but no where near as bad & the exhaust doesn’t bark at me when I start it up, I’m pleased with it.

Now to look for some Holden or replica Holden rims in 19’s, MAYBE 18’s.

I actually got it done today. Not 100% finished, but it can go back on the car tomorrow. I've got a bug and a big dust spec that needs a spot repair unfortunately.
May be worth giving it a full third coat tomorrow just for good measure.

The catch can for my VS turbo is going to look real good in skyline black.

Had the SS for some work activities which involved being in an underground carpark.
Windows were down, and yes the v8 was echoing through this concrete jungle facility, bouncing off all the walls.

Almost wishing I had taken another toy instead, maybe next time.
