This is exactly why I resisted strongly the knobs at Bob Jane doing an alignment when I got new tyres last year. They were very persistent - I guess its extra "cream" on the sale.
I told them that there are very few places that do a correct alignment process and I don't believe Bob Jane is setup for it. I have had some crap alignments in the past and have learnt my lesson to only use experts.
Anyway, the alignment has been perfect since the electric steering recall work was done.
