Which wheels ?

Only series one Redline were Forged but they were in two designs. Design 2 was nearly the same as the series two which are cast wheels.

The 20's should be forged as they come from the same supplier as Motorsport wheels.

Yeah, I'm clear on the VF ones. Just not certain about the optional 20's on the VF2. I think they're forged. But, not certain.

Traded mine in and only paid $900. They are brand new with new potenza RE050A.
I really like them. Quite dark shadow chrome finish. Much better than I imagined.

Nice choice Ron. A little different to the rest and doesn't look like a wannabe Redline. Mint!

They were stated as being forged by Holden, the option was “gloss black forged 20 inch alloy wheels” or similar.

The 20' wheels offered as factory options on VF2 (pretty sure they were available earlier as well, just not as cheaply) were definitely forged, and were sold as being forged. I think the model is/was HF20. They're what Ron just bought (except the factory ones were all black).


I didn't realise until the guy who detailed my wife's SSVR pointed it out ... but the black plastic components at the front of the car, eg the grille, are metallic black an an SS.

Thats true. Black trim pieces are painted in phantom black by the looks of it..

What original Walky wheels come in sizes > 16" ?

"Walky wheels" come in 20 and 22 with a lifetime warranty and there is also knock off ebay cheapies with a 12 month warranty,walkinshaw genuines only come in 16 inch.

^ Those modern re-interpretations commissioned by Walkinshaw generally look a bit wrong. Same with the HDT ones.
Being Walkinshaw, they’d only be cast, surely?

Not sure mate but on the walky wheels site they say lifetime warranty afaik.
Tbh i really like the look of them but they are seriously overdone like simmons.

Wheelkings are advertising black HF-20 wheels as forged.

On a side note the white ones look really bad.

Yeah mine are forged. The details are not cast but engraved in the wheel...
Back of the spokes are flat and smooth...
