Hey mate. I finally changed the d bushes to no success stoppin the noise... In terms of checking the links, do I need to jack the car up and take the wheels off? Or is it enough to turn the wheels to full lock and undoing then? Also, if I replace the links, would cheapies from eBay be okay...

I'll definitely have a better look at the sway bar links. What D bushes do people recommend? Also, I see that the current ones on there are 24mm, but for some reason the repco/sca garage tool says the 24mm doesn't suit my car and I should get 23mm... Any thoughts?

Sway bar links seem to be fine. I was sceptical of the d bushings too, but other users on here seem to have solved super similar knocking noises with the d bushings. Since they're so cheap, I feel it's silly not to try it

I'm not really worried about oil consumption - it's been pretty reasonable considering how I've driven it. I'm only topping up because I like to keep it above half way on the dipstick (I only added maybe 100-200ml).

I've read it many times under different temps and on a flat surface. Whichever side is top when going in reads lower than the other. I assume it has to do with the angle of the tube and the tip of the dipstick being quite thick/large. Not sure why they didn't use a flat dipstick.
