I think i found the problem the wiring harness off the coil pack was rubbing on the fan belt exposing coppers wires, one wire almost ground down had to cut that one, been like that for awhile. I wonder if that's been shorting my pump out
Yea it's off auto electrics i think, car is running ok at the moment, but yea there is a faulty wire in the system, new wiring harness i think, computer seems fine, pump only seems to **** out after a burnout putting extra load thru system,
I pointing to electrical because i ran one radiator fan off the fuel pump fuse and as soon as i disconnected that system been having problems since, maybe there is over voltage and i reackon i should hook fan back up to get voltage down, i never had any problems with fan going all the time off...
Help me my Commodore keeps blowing fuel pumps, they last about 2 months then blow, any ideas? I've blown 3 pumps this years so far goss and fuel miser and ebay $60 special. Now i got genuine pump in there and I'm noticing pressure problems
I got same car but I've blown 4 pumps this year, i take pump back and they always refund after a checking it, oh well onto try out genuine pump now, $60 ebay special lasted 2 weeks, goss lasted 4 months and fuel miser lasted 3 months
I had same problem water under oil cap and not on the dipstick ..my car started to overheat( after a few weeks) so i removed thermostat and drove ok for 1 day then it started cooking again the next.... i used that 60 buck nulon head gasket repair **** and while the engine was cooking i put it...
The gears would grind in all gears then something would happen (clicks back in id say )and then it would go back to normal...something to do with clutch engaging maybe or probably stuffed ...problem only got worse over time might check out the linkages now
Clutch seems ok im just getting a grinding sound when engaged into gear the crunch grind etc and then it go's in...sounds like the gearbox is stuffed but i might check the level of the gearbox. ....The slave cylinder under the dash was leaking awhile back but i adjusted the clutch and stopped...
Got a 5 speed manual gearbox playing up ...been like it for awhile but i think its finally stuffed....sometimes it won't engage in 1st 2nd and all gears during take off just grinds in the box then slips in then drives ok again until i stop. ...just wondering if it's the box or clutch?
yea the coil pack was next on the list but it was low on oil and kept using water so i chucked in radiator stop leak and topped the oil up and she aint stalled since
I brought a new fuel filter and replaced a brand new fuel pump and i thought it was ok again and then engine check light comes on and it stalls and wont restart straight away, waited about 2 minutes and then she fired up. Anyone know what the #### it could be. I do have some oil in the radiator...
i sort of got the same problem on my vx, stalls once a month and hits flat spot in the engine, engine still runs but no power for 15-20secs but regains power eventually or stalls. might give the fuel filter thing ago. Must of sucked getting taken for a ride by the mechanics ...
I had the same problem on my VX and i picked up some LED Brake and tail lights and so far i have not had to replace them and to back them up i wired in a T10 globe just in case. I aint getting pulled over for that crap again having 1 brake light cause they blow every 2 weeks...64 LED the way to go
My new VX is bloody awesome and had no faults since i brought it for $3500 3 months ago so far its done 252,000 so far, what faults should i expect top happen at high KMS and how many kms do they go before the engine dies?

ok i got the fan out today and try to power it up off the battery and nothing, im gonna take it inside and clean it up and see if it works then otherwise ill get a new fan
ok ill try the fan test today. if it dont fire up at least i know the fan stuffed. if it does fire up and i cant find the problem why its not working normally anyway of dodging a switch up to turn the fan on and off manually ...and where is the fan is it near the airbags LH inside passenger...
yep checked number 13 fuse and its ok and all the dash warning lights work fine, could it be simply the fan needs replacing ?
will that fix the problem ?
