And yeah every service I do I flush the oil a few times just to remove any crud if any and I'll recheck into the wiring as I did try to clean the sump pan from minor oil and a small amount of oil/cleaner could have gotten into the connector

And thanks heaps for your help appreciate it :)

@toffbrown98 , well I found the GM Oil Life System Resetting procedure is within the beginning part of the workshop manual (under General Information - Maintenance and Lubrication).

The Aussie system simply counts down from 14,000kms from when it was last reset. It pops up a “change engine oil soon” service message when the counter hits zero. It’s rather different from the GM Oil Life System which is turned off on Aussie vehicle’s.

Anyway to reset the counter without a service (OBD) tool, switch on the ignition and depress and release the accelerator pedal three times.
