Security lockout active vehicle - data mismatch

Hi, Any help out there? I just had a flat battery on a 2007 WM Caprice, after restarting it, the audio unit now displays "security lockout active - vehicle data mismatch" handbook says see Holden Dealer - is there a reset procedure for this? any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Reckon you'll need to get a tech 2 hooked onto it to reprogram it.

Tech 2 is the device used by Holden technicians. Looks like a visit to a Dealer !

just turn the key on and it will match up, it says that when u change the battery until u turn the key to ign and turn the radio on aswell, if its not a different radio it will match up itself...

What's the difference between Tech 2 and OBD II ? Can I buy a suitable scanner to reset my audio unit ?

Hi I'm having the same trouble with my ve commodore omega 2007 , changed battery in it a data mis match lock out activated Stereo an aircon aint working an battery is draining checked alternator is workig fine new battery an $ is a issue atm ive changed timing belt throttle body window switches an want to now fix a/c stereo panel

omega don't have timing belt, just chains, need to be plugged in to tech 2, or replace completely with aftermarket
