VE SS Oil temp after cam install

Ive just had a cam, Fast LSXr manifold and 102mm tb put on my VE L98 and the oild temp is sitting between 105 and 116 degrees.

is this normal? or a bit high?

im running Penrite 10w 70extra10 oil

Not sure about the temps but that oil is a bit thick, try something like a 10w40 or 15w40.

Im running Castrol Edge 10w60 in my LS1. 70 weight is getting up there imo.

Cammed cars do tend to run a shade hotter. What were the average temps before?

The thicker oil made it 10deg cooler. I had 5w40 in and it got up to 126 while tuning

The penrite 10w70 is practically a 10w60.

Cant really remember previous temps but I think it was mid 80s

Not sure about oil temps, neither would anyone else unless they have aftermarket sensor?

Series 1 ssv have volt, oil temp and oil pressure.

OK weird that they removed it with Series II, I have high lift, custom manifold, ported TB, was doing about same temps, now run TR6 plugs Penrite 10 Tenths full zinc and ECT is 80-95°C in an auto around SE QLD. Ethanol helps.
