Plenty of garages and dealerships use flush Zeke. I assume that they would know what they are doing. My brother in law is a mech in Adelaide and uses it all the time and hes been in the industry 40 years or more.

As above no need in new cars, never heard of a dealer doing it either.

Thought I'd ad to the oil thread.... My tuner has recommend me using a 15w60 semi synthetic(Tritech) after It was tuned, otr and full exhaust. I also do around 2-3 track days a year :p.
Seems there's so many variations in what everyone is using.
Always used edge 10w60 in my L98's and cammed ls1's but had to change with morel tie bar lifters. No cammed 5w30 seems fine

I Have pulled a mates engine down that had did 20.000km and the sump was clean as, spot on clean you could eat off it and that was back in 1984 I remember my mate telling his elder brother this fact, and big bros said B/S ! as he did not believe it at all.
The engine was a Holden 202 that was worked and when like a rocket and was taken to 7000RPM and flogged hard, what happened was that the block cracked across the water jackets as they do when they make such power, so we had to pull it out and get another block.
Old mate changed the oil ever 5000km.

I am sure they do use oil flush as you never know with engines of today, as some fools do not service them. I would not go past 10.000km and 12 months regardless of even syn oil because more than that your just looking for trouble, 15,000km if on mainly highway driving would be ok.

Hey have any of you lot used Bitron called Xsnano now claims of diesel power up to 34% and better fuel and reduces emission up to 98%

I don't get why holden and ford increased service intervals to 15k. Imo that is way too long like yoy say Zeke even with full syn. I have heard they claim that since the sumps are now taking over 7 litres you can stretch it out to 15k. I think in the years to come we will see cars with engine problems because of these extended service intervals. Even Mitsubishi have gone to 15k on outlanders. Im trying to explain to the wife we need it booked in at 7.5k which the book actually says can be done if the owner wants additional minor servicing between the scheduled ones.

what is this gear you're talking about. 28% better economy is a pretty big claim. I use 95 and get back the extra cost in increased economy. But 28%would mean id be slashing over 12 bucks off my 180km round trip to home and back.
