You're right I get 11 but that's in Sydney traffic.
On the highway or open road I get much better than that, let's say 8-9L depending how good the road is and how little traffic.

what is this gear you're talking about. 28% better economy is a pretty big claim. I use 95 and get back the extra cost in increased economy. But 28%would mean id be slashing over 12 bucks off my 180km round trip to home and back.
Just look it up on the web and this is why the reason I put it up, is if anyone has used this stuff. I don't believe it at all but someone may have a take on it. but it says Trucking company's have taken it on.

A mate used Bitron years ago and I was talking to him last week and he said he can't find it anymore, so I looked it up and seen the spin.

I used to use Proma MBL8. Sounds like Bitron is a similar gear. MBL8 was great but not easily accessible for me to get in Tas. A few mechanics recommend it so I used to put it im my open diffs and engines. I don't know if i gained any economy if i did it was less than 5% because my fuel bill was still much the same. Mechanic that i know who have used MBL said it quitened down a noisy diff. Diff builder told me it was good gear. As for evidence of it working i don't have any. Id definitely use MBL again if i could get it for less than 30 bucks a bottle, which does two oil changes, and if i didn't have to drive to the other side of town to pick it up. Hard to say definitively if it reduces component wear as it claima because you would need a testing facility to find out.

Took my MSE for a country drive yesterday morning. Wanted to visit family and break the 1000km mark on it. Hilly highway/freeway drive Melbourne to Bendigo and back. Got 9.2 l/100km according to the onboard. Not bad for a still very new engine I thought.

Penrite enviro plus gf5 5w30 whilst it is under warranty.

Penrite HPR 5 5w40 later on

My Cars no longer under new car warranty and now has 45km on the clock.
which oil would suit my ssvr2 ?
Is 5w40 better than 5w30?
Penrite HPR 5 5w40
