I didn’t think of the lights, everything responds to the door as it usually should except the radio doesn’t switch off… I get key left in car reminders ect when opening door so it’s registered that I’ve opened it.
then it is not the door sensor so i doubt replacing that part will have any effect.
if disconnecting the battery for 5~10 minutes does not fix it then it might be a software fault within the mylink or the bcm.
something is not sending or receiving the command for the radio to shut down when the door is opened but something else does not seem right here...
now you mentioned before that the radio does shut down after a while/10 mins or so but you also said your battery is going flat so this might actually point to a deeper issue
if the radio does switch off after a while but the vehicles battery is going flat then the radio is not the culprit because it did switch off but what might be happening is that the vehicle is not going into its "sleep mode" where it shuts everything down to draw as little power as possible from the battery.
this symptom could point to something being wrong with the bcm.
i would get the battery load tested to make sure it is good because a defective battery can still work for the most part but not hold charge properly
dodgy batteries in the vf can cause a wide array of issues, if the battery is 5+ years old just replace it.
if the battery was not the issue then get a parasitic draw test done on the vehicle, this type of test will show how much power is being drawn from the battery at different stages of the vehicles operating modes and it will show if the vehicle is actually entering its sleep mode properly.
if the vehicle does not enter its sleep mode then get the bcm checked out, there could be a software update for it or it might be faulty but if it was me this would be my last step.
