ABS Module on VE SS

Just wondering if anyone has had success changing out the ABS module on VE? I am interested in the specific symptoms that led to changing the module. e.g. I have read module failures may or may not produce a scanner code.

p.s. I am aware of sensors & harness common issues, need to reprogram VIN etc. so please no tangents
