there are 2 wires coming out of the plug one Red with Black stripe, the other Red with White stripe,this was shown to me by a friend that also done it to his car a 2001 VX Clubsport.

For those wanting to do it the easy way without unhooking the battery and fooling around with the ABS module then using electrical tape to seal it back up. here it is : located at the firewall passenger side is the traction control unit unplug the conector plug with the blue top, tie it off out...

your rite it will if you unplug the ABS MODULE, just unplug the TRACTION control plug...which is no where near the ABS MODULE. this just disables the traction control so its permantly off,and added bonus is you dont have to keep pushing the button to turn it off everytime you hop into the car.

try unplugging the traction control plug in the engine bay see how it goes after that. not sure if it will help but worth a try.

is that your cat thats dented or the rear muffler? a rattle can be from the cat if its worn and starting to fall apart on the inside(or from a hard knock),will break up and rattle as it gets blown out the back of your exhaust. could be the same thing with the muffler some loose stuff rattling...

Try an auto electrician,they usually charge around $30 to hook it up to check and clear your codes. or a scan tool to suit your model is the MaxiDiag US703 $249 + $29 Postage from ebay...

maybe yous accidently pulled the plug for the traction control out when taking it off? will be back rite (passenger side) near the fire wall,should be able to notice it. wont cause any problems,have disconected mine on purpose :-)

nah a leaky exhaust would just make you loose a bit of power and be noisy,wouldnt cause it to stall and idle rough.

Stuffed leads,plugs,oxygen sensors,dirty injectors? just a cple of possible causes. oxygen sensors would make it run a bit rough and use extra fuel,should be changed around every 100,000klms.

have you checked to see if all the door locks are down after locking it? mine was doing the same thing but the actuators were stuffed and wernt locking the doors properly, .changed them now its fine.

i wouldnt worry about the leads and plugs its more likely to be your coil pack and DFi module. or could be the crank angle sensor like wana s' charge stock vt said. mate had the same problem with coil pack,parked it up overnight then wouldnt start the next day

sounds like you put the dead lock on if you turned it to the left? so you wouldnt be able to unlock it with the remote only with the key,if thats what it is you should be able to turn it back to the right and take the dead lock off. coould do the same thing in my old vr,if it seems hard to turn...

im pretty sure the 95 model vs is 2 wire,and 97 model is the 4 wire,if you wanna know for sure jack it up and see how many wires run from it,unless you can see it from the engine bay then even better :-)

yeh would send wrong oygen signals and wont burn at the rite mix which means you would use more fuel,will still run if they die completely but will idle ruffer and use a lot more fuel,engine light should come on if there totaly stuffed,they should be changed every 100,000 klms.. you will notice...
