Does anyone know if it’s possible or even worth it to try and swap out my series 1 VE alloytec to a VF LFX?? And change the trans to the six speed?? My alloytec is about to die and it’s my pride and joy that car so I can’t let it goDid this to my ute's original engine... Knock knock, who's there? Rod six. haha
As for why VF engines are cheaper? Maybe they're more common? LLTs are stupid expensive for this reason (because they're less common).

Problably a dumb question but i have to do this in my ve z series and was wonering if the vf lfx had the 210 kw like my ve does?Hi guys they figured it out! It was just a couple of bad earths..
So just to recap.. A lot of people said that you can't put a VF engine into a VE..
That is untrue. We now have a VF LFX engine in our series 2 VE (Originally also had LFX engine)
We did have to put the VE sump on, because the sensors are different. And used the VE wiring harness. So if anyone wanted to know.. Yes, it does work!
