Injectors and supply chains could be a cause.
It’s a known fault. It’s been know about for a long long time. Holden has had ample opportunity to build up sufficient stock to cater for the expected outages without delay.

really, it should have been handled as a voluntary recall so owners could plan repairs for this known defect...

Put another way, they’ve had more than enough time to get their ducks in a row but expect owners to hold the shitty end of the stick while execs get their bonuses. It sucks.

After multiple calls to the dealer this morning, I got a reply this afternoon that the car is repaired. However, PRA authorised only the faulty injector be replaced. I asked they contact them again re-stating the known issues, ACL requirements for known faulty products & Holden's own bulletin for replacing all injectors, but it seems they're running the same line as per @Dirty Harry. They admitted they knew full well the issues, as they're dealing with it weekly, but could not give me a straight answer as to why I was getting different treatment to other customers with older/higher km vehicles. It's a contrivance to blame PRA as a body that somehow sits between Head Office & the dealerships. I will take this further with ACCC/CAV & will call HCC tomorrow.

Will get tech details of failure resistance/DTC flags tomorrow...
If you bought the car from the dealer, it’s the dealers responsibility to fix this fault within a reasonable time frame, the fault being all 8 injectors, and they can’t deny responsibility and send you to the manufacturer or force the manufacturers limits or processes onto you. If you bought the car privately, your stuck with manufacturers warranty or their good will and maybe this is at the crux of the poor support.

So I’m curious if you bought the car privately or through a dealer?

(Presumably you’re talking about your VF and not the VZ (listed as your members ride)

Yep, purchased new & serviced by the same dealership...

Let's hope the VZ wasn't a VF SS - I probably wouldn't have sold it. I'll get round to updating the profile one day...

@Skylarking. Many thanks on your input.

Wow. That is just piss poor service! I can't believe they are trying to put one over on you. I wouldn't take that sort of crap, they had a chance to do the right thing and they didn't. I hope you take them to the cleaners, they deserve it!

VF2 Calais Wagon 6.2L
Happened to mine the other night. Cylinder 7. Currently at the dealer waiting for approval from Holden to replace all 8 but they believe they will only get approval to replace the one. They also charge a non refundable $150 diagnostic fee at my local dealer. So if I need to go through this 8 times it is going to cost me over a $1k anyway which i will find hard to stomach. I'll find out today if I get all 8 covered. Car is a 2015 VF2 Calais wagon out of warranty with only 42000km on the clock.
