@abuch47
This is just SS info, Caprice and V6 is different

All coils OEM Monroe
FE2 lowered coil sedan rear 7kg/mm
FE2 lowered coil wagon is HD spring and VE series II onwards had thinner rear sway*
FE2 lowered coil utility rear - not sure
FE2 lowered coil ALL front 2.9kg/mm
FE3 lowered coil is same part as FE2, but offset by different (“softer”) shock valving and larger rear antisway bar per HSV (and G8 GXP).

*Sway front and rear may differ with model year and suspension package

All struts OEM Monroe
VF has larger front knuckle and bolt so the “boot” the front struts sit in is different.
FE3 struts have “Gas Charged” stamped on the body
Yeah right so FEx is just an ongoing standard code that is updated with the models and variants. I saw that the VR I think had FE2 and it scared me.

VE SS A6
@abuch47 Difference FE2 and FE3 for SS cars is the shock valving and sway combo.
Stock SS FE2 is relatively hard sprung, lowered, vs Calais (FE1 & FE1.5).
FE3 is same spring, more compliant valving offset coupled with stiffer sway(s).
Wagon use and dynamics requires HD springs and different sway(s).

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of the superlift shocks from?
Have contacted holden, waiting for them to get back to me.
Contacted munroe, they don't do them.
Can only find 1 on the net, why would you only have 1.

lve got monroe air risers aka self leveling holden shocks on fe2 to pick up the slack when load on the rear and they are kick arse even at 20 psi unloaded on a vx. Might be worth a thought for you lf made for yours.

Contacted Monroe, they don't do them for VE or VF.
Just got a response from the guy on ebay that has one, can get another from Melbourne, at about 6 times the price of the one he has.
So looks like somewhere sells them.

Legend, thanks for the tip.
Bit strange when Munroe told me that they didn't do exactly that 'air risers' for VE or VF.

I put the air risers in my WH a few years back, as the genuine HSV ones were a ridiculous price, and some firmer springs, and handles great.

How do the air risers work, Auto underload keeps a similar height?

lm not certain what you mean by auto. Unloaded you need to keep bout 20 psi in to prevent the bag from damage. With about 100 kg on the toe bar on fe2 springs l put 40 psi and thats enough to sit the car level when loaded and hitched and trailer loaded also. Sometines you can fit higher/lower trailer profile tyres to acheive a level trailer or just change the toe tounge to suit. The car will still squat and function as it need under peddle and cornering. You are also best to set your trailer height level to match maybee 10 ml heigher than the toe ball, meaning sit the coupling above the ball about 10 ml and the trailer should look just off level front heigh. Then load your trailer hevy on the axles and light front and back. Dont heavy the front and up the psi it will naturaly pig root..You will want the car 10ml possibly higher at the rear gaurds in my experience all loaded and occupants in tbe car.
