VF Redline Sedan - A6 Spitfire MSE...
^ Interesting that you’re feeling a more comfortable ride in VF than VF2; Holden’s claims for VF2 were not only different attachment points for gubbins at the rear, but that the less stiff suspension resulted in better ride as well as better handling & roadholding (albeit with more bodyroll).

I’ve not seen anything about differing springs or shocks for wagon vs sedan; pretty sure (although not 100%) they’re the same.
Yeah I agree. It is due to the VF springs settling I believe.

This may not come up for another four years so am interested to understand the suspension spec SS model variant evolution from
VE->VEII->VF->VFII (rows)
— Front and rear —
Springs | Shock | Sway

Part #s would put paid to heresay, reckon this can happen?

VFII SSV

Front
springs - 92290030
Shocks - can't seem to slide rubber boot up or down
Sway bar - 24mm

Rear
Springs - 92250236
Shocks - 92295950
Sway bar - 20mm

Op - I agree with cuda also swap out sway bars. They remove easier on the v6's

Big difference in body roll between fe2 and fe3 with just sway bar and shock damping changes. Drove my uncles redline again back to back last week.

Thanks all for the details. I have answered my own question - I don't think I will get what I want without changing all three parts. I saw the sway bar change out video a while ago - seems you can manipulate the bar out in V6. But the engine appears to be needing to be lifted slightly in the V8 to change the front sway bar so I thought nah.
Still are the back shocks and springs definitely different in sedan versus wagon - shock catalogues suggest this is the case?

......what about doing the opposite to the OP?
What would be involved in raising the height of VF1 FE3 a little bit?

Noob question, does anyone think there is benefit going to a Tein Coilover, from my current FE3 suspension?

On a daily no, and possibly illegal. Check the QLD rules.

Okay, they are readily available in shops like Pedders and other suspension specialists, and are for Road Use. I am guessing they aren't illegal, but I take your point of view...they might not reach potential on the road. Thanks.

Depends how you do it.
Poorer handling is a given, but the other stuff (harsher or smoother ride, more or less body roll, etc) depends on what you’re doing to raise it.
