Looks like no short cuts with this job haha. When doing rear main can engine be held on other way on an engine stand?

When doing rear main seal and sump gasket what other parts are good to replace while there I already know the oil barbel anything else? Thanks

do not put any grease on the seals when i fit them, its amazing but it can wear a channel in the crank over time, just engine oil is fine

Where is it best to disconnect the auto shifter from the gearbox? I’ve attached pics where the rod attaches to the gearbox in 2 places

Also when removing torque converter is it okay to rotate the flex plate with a flathead or turn the harmonic balancer? Does the gearbox have to be in neutral when removing from engine?
